If you’re feeling delicate because it’s a Tuesday then be warned this may make you tear up at your desk.
We’d long known that Sir David Attenborough would be coming back to Netflix soon after a tiny teaser of his new show, Our Planet, was released by the streaming platform at the end of last year. But its Super Bowl moment reminded us just how much we need this at the end of this long winter (sobs).
And this lengthier trailer confirms everything we were hoping for.
The comes out just after Attenborough (now in his 90s) made an appearance at Davos where he warned business leaders about the dangers of climate change saying that “the garden of Eden is no more” and that the time had come to “move beyond guilt and blame” when it came to climate change.
The trailer does in fact contain many of the issues that have become synonymous with Attenborough’s conservation and environmental activism. The trailer in fact stresses the unity and responsibility for the planet we all share reminding us that it’s ‘the one place we all call home.’ Its focus will be on disappearing wonders and species at the risk of extinction.
Our planet streams on April 5th.
