Juicebox is an app that seeks to make access to sex coaches simpler and more straightforward, offering one-on-one anonymous advice and sort of taking the mystique out of what sex coaching is about.

Its creator Brianna Rader initially thought she’d be getting a lot women asking how to masturbate or about difficulties reaching orgasm during sex. But surprisingly the sex coach and startup founder says that a lot of the requests they get are from men!

In a recent interview Rader said that an astonishing 30% of men who use Juicebox are actually just looking for help with online dating. She believes that two things have changed drastically in recent years, particularly when it comes to dating.pastel kiss-min

One thing is the MeToo movement which Rader said has thrown men in how they’re supposed to behave with women in dating scenarios. Another, is physical appearance, which much has been made of recently.  Men were never judged as harshly as women regarding their appearance but with the rise of online dating (1 in 5 people in the UK have used online dating apps at some stage) men are feeling the pressure of having to compete in an oversaturated field.

The combination of these two things has created a real anxiety among men Rader says –  adding that there are also questions about ED, premature ejaculation, and technique. But online dating has become the vast majority of what men want to ask Juicebox.smiling man

It’s unsurprising perhaps in that all dating apps are predominantly populated by heterosexual men fighting over a much smaller pool of women. But curious too to see how in the US Juicebox has been picked up as a follow up tool to sex ed, attempting to correct people’s mistaken impressions about sex.
