An in depth survey carried out has revealed the town in the UK that purchases the most sex toys and it’s probably not what you might expect.
You might have thought at first glance that it would be somewhere like London because – well – it’s London and full of all sorts. Or you might have thought it’s one of those major Northern cities like Manchester and Liverpool because after all they know how to have a good time.
But actually it’s none of those.
Quidco, a cashback service that helps consumers track purchases and refunds, carried out a survey on its 9 million users in which it tracked purchases labelled ‘Adult’.
And the town with the most online purchases for sex toys was a tiny town of Kirkwall in the Orkney Islands of all unlikely places!
People here apparently made up 2.24% of all sex toy purchases in the UK. Overall the study found that people living in small towns (perhaps unsurprisingly) were more likely to pick up a cheeky toy than people living in bustling cities.
The second naughtiest town in fact was in rural Scotland. The town of Dumfries purchased 2.0% of all the sex toys purchased in the UK, which may seem small but considering the size of its population, is actually quite impressive.
