Public sex is an eternal turn on to lots of us, whether it’s the thrill of being caught doing something we shouldn’t be doing or whether it’s the rush you get from being watched or the spontaneity of the act that gets you off.
The fact of the matter is that it goes on all the time, in all likelihood a lot more than we think it does. But if so, then where are people having public sex most?
Pharmacy chain Superdrug decided to find out exactly where it is that exhibitionists and thrill seekers were getting their rocks off in public and decided to survey 1,000 Americans and 1,000 Europeans to find out. The results showed not only the most popular locations but also an interesting difference between the predilections on those on either side of the Atlantic.
Overall the most popular place to have sex across the board was a public park, with 16.8% respondents saying that they had had sex their at some stage in their lives. The next most popular location was somewhat unsurprisingly, at the beach, with 13% of respondents saying that they’d had sex or gotten intimate there (despite the difficulties and discomfort). Europeans were more likely to have sex on the beach when compared with their American counterparts, noting that in fact public parking lots and parking garages were more popular in the US than beaches.
Public bathrooms came in as a strong third contender alongside parking lots, with 9.4% of respondents saying they’d had sex in a public bathroom before and 9.1% having had sex in a parking lot.
But coming in at 7% and as the 4th most popular place to bump uglies in public, was work! It really makes you wonder about your own company culture at work! Surprisingly sex at work was more popular than even classic places one might imagine like the movies (4.8%) or a public pool (5.1%).
In conclusion what’s clear is that public sex is something that continues to titillate and interest us, despite it being illegal or perhaps because of it! So the moral is have your fun and don’t get caught.
