Update: GSP has officially announced his retirement from the UFC today at a press conference in Montreal. We at Xpanded wish him the best for the future.

Rumour has it that Georges St-Pierre is to hang up his gloves tomorrow and retire after a not so successful bid to fight lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagedov didn’t come to fruition.

The former welterweight and middleweight UFC champion was king of the 170 pound division before hanging up his gloves in 2013 before returning in 2017 when he beat Michael Bisping in the 185-pound division for the UFC Middleweight world championship.

GSP was due to return in the coming months after having to take another break after the weight gain made him suffer with some weight issues.

The press conference when he’ll announce his retirement will supposedly happen tomorrow at 10:30am EST in Montreal, but as is often the case, it may be a false alarm and not really and truly the end of this fighting legend as seen with Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather in the boxing world.
