But what is striking is that the runners up are India and Japan for porn consumption! In fact both countries have long traditions of porn (eh the Kamasutra and Shunga).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1424\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.xpanded.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/pornhub-2.png\" alt=\"pornhub 2\" width=\"620\" height=\"541\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.xpanded.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/pornhub-2.png 620w, https:\/\/blog.xpanded.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/pornhub-2-300x262.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 620px) 100vw, 620px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Top Gaining searches<\/strong> on Pornhub for 2018 were Interactive (up 72%) and Tattooed Women (up 88%). But the search with the highest gains was Romantic! Aww! Guess we\u2019re all just looking for love, even in our naughtiest private moments.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Pornhub searches are of course affected by pop culture and the news as much as anything else. So it\u2019s no surprise that the most searched for celebrity on Pornhub this year was Stormy Daniels, the pornstar who was in the news for allegedly having had an affair with US President Donald Trump! Similarly the incredibly popular game Fortnite saw a huge increase in searches in Pornhub as did Bowsette, the Nintendo fan-art that went viral and ended up getting 3 million searches in one day on Pornhub!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1425\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.xpanded.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/pornhub-1.png\" alt=\"pornhub 1\" width=\"620\" height=\"806\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.xpanded.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/pornhub-1.png 620w, https:\/\/blog.xpanded.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/pornhub-1-231x300.png 231w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 620px) 100vw, 620px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Here are a few of Pornhub\u2019s graphics that break-down some of their findings.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The four most-searched for genres in 2018 might not be much of a mystery: the terms that were looked up most were<strong> \u2018lesbian\u2019, \u2018hentai\u2019, \u2018milf\u2019, and \u2018stepmom\u2019<\/strong>. Speaking to Pornhub\u2019s own blog, the director of Pornhub\u2019s Sexual Wellness Center Dr Laurie Betito said the searches for older women were easily explained. \u201cContrary to popular belief, men are not just interested in youthful bodies,\u201d notes Dr. Laurie. \u201cThey like the idea of an older, experienced woman and may care less about the perfection of her body.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"giphy-embed\" src=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/embed\/ePWlG9xYQn7cQ\" width=\"600\" height=\"300\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/gifs\/celebs-fallontonight-john-cusack-ePWlG9xYQn7cQ\">via GIPHY<\/a><\/p>\n<p>So what\u2019s the take-away?
