You\u2019d think this was a question with a fairly obvious answer – YES! But it turns out that in fact there\u2019s a little more to it than that.<\/p>\n

Research published in the Canadian Journal of Human Sexuality found women are more than twice as likely to go down on their partners than men are but only 28% of them found it pleasurable!<\/p>\n

The study surveyed students aged 18 – 24 and seemed to prove that \u2018going down\u2019 on each other has become more common and happens more regularly, with 70% of those surveyed saying they\u2019d recently given head.<\/p>\n

Anecdotally it\u2019s always seemed that men don\u2019t go down on women, almost out of some form of mistaken machismo or attitude of \u2018she services me\u2019. But what the study shows in fact is that over half of men surveyed said they really enjoyed cunnilingus and found it extremely pleasurable! Bizarrely however twice as many women as men reported giving oral sex but not receiving it!<\/p>\n

So essentially women are doing it more and enjoying it less, whilst men enjoy it immensely but aren\u2019t doing it – huh? Seems weird!<\/p>\n

Part of it however has to do with the nature of casual hookups that make up the backdrop to how these hookups are occurring.<\/p>\n

Apparently men and women report enjoying oral sex less when it\u2019s casual hookup and on top of that women report being protective of their vagina and not wanting to have a stranger getting \u2018too involved\u2019 down there!<\/p>\n

It seems evident that men should start changing the culture around oral sex on a first date or hookup and start doing themselves as well as her a favour – and go down on her!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
